Day 20 faith and joy

We want to work towards really living by faith. I waste moments in life worrying or fearing things and contemplating all the time. At the end of that worrying what did it ever do for me? Where there is fear, there is not faith. Where there is STRONG faith, fear will dissapear . We can't walk by faith and live in fear. We can't walk in fear and live by faith.

Matthew 6:25-34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Don’t worry about anything; pray about everything. (Phil. 4:6; Luke 12:29-31)

Hebrews 13:6
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

We have to be grateful people. A lack of being thankful creates a joyless heart.
God never said if we follow him that our lives would be perfect. He said if we follow him he would always walk with us.

In everything give thanks. Count it all joy when you fall into various trials. Rejoice in the Lord. (1 Thess. 5:17; Ps. 68:3; Eph. 5:20; Phil. 4:4; James 1:2-3)

  2. I live for the day when fear, stress, and worry have no place in my life. By pretty much being born into a lion's den, it's been hard. I cling to my faith when these things strike but I want to be completely free from it all with being so absorbed by God that I can see nothing else.
